UvA receives grant for EVERSE (European Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence)

The project has 18 partners from 8 countries and will last three years; the consortium includes five clusters of European research infrastructures, including environmental earth science, life science, particle physics, Photon and neutron, and social science.

The University of Amsterdam will share 385K from the total budget of 7.8M. During the project, the team of Dr. Zhiming Zhao at Multiscale Networked System research group will represent the research software community from the cluster of environmental and earth sciences (ENVRI) and lead the development of essential climate variable pilot cases using a cloud Virtual Research Environment being developed by UvA in the other projects.
