Paper Accepted for ICSOC 2026!

Our paper, “Pace: Provable Energy-Aware Configuration for Edge Blockchain Services,” has been accepted as a full paper at ICSOC 2026.

How can edge blockchain services process transactions quickly while staying within an energy budget? We address this question with Pace, an algorithm that selects processing configurations and allocates transactions across service modes with provable approximation guarantees. Experiments combining controlled workloads and a five-VM Hyperledger Fabric/SmartBFT deployment demonstrate near-optimal solution quality and improved scalability over exact optimization. The work supports resource-aware blockchain services for applications including digital twins and IoT.
